Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service govern your use of Docside, operated at docside.ai and app.docside.ai. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. The service

Docside helps residential real estate listing agents review and compare purchase offers. It extracts terms from uploaded documents, presents them with source citations for the agent to verify, and generates plain-English summaries the agent can share with their seller.

Docside summaries are agent-reviewed explanatory aids. The original document — the actual offer, contract, or form — is what governs. Docside is not a system of record for any transaction, and nothing it produces replaces reading the underlying documents.

3. Not legal, financial, or professional advice

Docside does not provide legal, financial, tax, or other professional advice. Nothing the service generates is a recommendation to accept, reject, or negotiate any offer, and nothing it generates is a statement about any document’s legal effect. Consult a qualified professional for advice about your situation.

4. Accounts

Docside accounts are for real estate agents and their teams. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. During the current beta, distribution is invite-only; signup is not technically gated.

5. Your content

You may upload documents directly or receive them through a per-property intake email address, which can include documents submitted by third parties such as buyer’s agents. You represent that you have the right to upload and process the documents you submit to the service.

You retain ownership of your content. You grant Docside a limited license to process, store, and display your content solely to provide the service to you.

6. Share links

Docside lets you share reports with your seller through anonymous links that do not require the seller to create an account. Share links expire automatically sixty days after they are created; to disable a link before it expires, contact support@Docside.ai. You are responsible for who you send a share link to.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the service — including uploading content you have no right to process, attempting to access other users’ data, probing or disrupting the service’s security, or using the service in violation of applicable law or the rules of your MLS or professional associations.

8. Beta terms

Docside is currently in beta. The service is provided free of charge during the beta period, is offered as-is, and may change, be interrupted, or be discontinued. Features may be added or removed without notice.

9. Retention

Documents are retained only as long as needed to provide the service; Docside is building an automatic deletion cycle. Contact support@Docside.ai with retention questions.

10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Docside uses automated extraction and language models. It does not warrant that extracted terms, scores, or summaries are accurate or complete. You are required to verify extracted information against the original documents before relying on it or sharing it with a client.

The service is provided as-is during the beta, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Docside’s liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited, and Docside is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.

11. Termination and changes

You may stop using the service at any time; to close your account, contact support@Docside.ai. Docside may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. We may update these terms; if we make material changes, we will notify account holders by email before the changes take effect.
